Waited "patiently" in the middle of a large field of milkweed & thistle - prime butterfly country. In almost 30 minutes I saw - several Skippers, one unknown (to me) species, lots of little flitty white things who wouldn't sit still for more than a second, and this Monarch. I saw the Monarch after folding up the tripod and heading for the car. It gave me about 30 seconds of its time. Try again in a couple of weeks.
