When one competes, titles are usually not allowed. The reasoning being that it provides a clue to the judge as to how you mean for the image to be interpreted. The reasoning further goes - the image should "speak for itself". This usually means trouble for those of us who like selective focus and the resulting softness in parts of an image. I recently posted an image to an online forum and got back a "soft" comment. True & justified - if sharp throughout is how the viewer wants images. For the record - the title of today's image reflects the maker's intention & if the viewer prefers otherwise, just know it's not the result of poor technique; it was on purpose. (I don't compete anymore - and have stopped judging also; just observing on how those things go.)
