After yesterday's daily photo (click "next") that was the height of simplicity in both execution and composition, I went to the other extreme to make this image entirely in camera - no montage, overlay, or multiple exposure tricks. I think it demonstrates the validity of yesterday's thesis - simplify, simplify, simplify. To see how this image was made (three different flowers along the path between lens and daffodils) see - http://ed-k-photo.smugmug.com/gallery/7110830_brEmW#489954817_AQCo5-A-LB - and remember the moral of this story: simplify, simplify, simply and then simplify some more.
There are times when this shoot-through technique gives stunning results (see here for an example - http://ed-k-photo.smugmug.com/gallery/6347116_QLbuh/1/400782118_joyDY/Medium ) but this isn't one of them.
