It's prettier than it felt - 23 degrees F with wind gusts of 30 mph (wind chill of ??) darn near froze the wind induced tears to my face. That dark object in the mountaintop rock near the lower right is a 3 foot wide puddle frozen *solid*. We're looking west from atop the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia with the Shenandoah valley in the mid-ground (about 1/2 mile below us) and the Appalachian mountains in the distant horizon.
