Community Work in the Philippines - 11 to 17 April 2014
We were at Tanauan, Leyte Province to help out in the building of sustainable homes and schools for the people affected by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. Though there were not many of us who were there, it was the least we could do for the people who were affected, our fellow beings.
We were there from 11 to 17 April 2014.
For most of us, it is the first time we are doing it. Sanitary and sleeping conditions were far from satisfactory, compared to what we have back home but we made it through.
It taught us not to under estimate how destructive mother nature can be, if and when it want to be, besides the beauty it has given us.
