After removing the factory screws and drilling a hole to pull up the cover, I made the platform on the left to cover the cabling used for the lift system. I store a lot of the camper materials (water hoses, elec. cords, adapters, etc) and some less-used cooking utensils in here. I am mindful to keep stuff clear of the water lines and back of the power converter. I have since added aluminum tape around the styrofoam insulation of the hot water tank, to keep just that much more heat in the tank.
