One of the seven Wonders of Wales, Pistyll Rhaeadr is the highest waterfall in Wales and falls some 240 feet. Found close to Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, Powys, it is easy to get to, with reasonable facilities nearby, including shop, parking and toilets.

Sitting on rocks, listening to the commanding plash of falling water as it plunges over two stages and staring out across the valley is one of the most relaxing things to do...and it's free, too, which is always nice!
