Dr Sonia Stone's recent discovery of the first fossilised image of a monkey's face in the desert sand's of United Arab Emirates has far reaching consequences and has already caused a stir in the academic community worldwide. The ingrained (nice pun!) image of the monkey suggests a startled expression. Scientists and primatologists are at a loss to explain the reason for the expression at the time of fossilization, although a number of theories abound. One scientist, who wished to remain anonymous, has shocked the entire establishment by debunking the pronoucement and suggesting that the fossilisation is in fact not a fossil but rather no more than an image shaped in the sand by the hands of Dr Stone. The jury still hangs in the balance...
