Pepsi spend more than Coca Cola on advertising in India. It's big business. So big in fact that the roads connecting distant cities are littered with little kiosks. Prices vary but you shouldn't pay more than 15 rupees for a bottle of Coke or Pepsi. It's a strange way of reinforcing globalization and capitalism - in places so much so without capital and so far away from the economic globe, that you'd think it was all a waste of time but good commercial skills almost invariably find a market.
