Apparently Michael Douglas (the actor) is a big fan of trains in India. I've seen documentaries showing executive class as something quite exclusive, closer to the Orient Express for a budget nearer to bearable. Travelling from New Delhi to Chandigarh executive class was like travelling on the old Merseyrail trains of the late 1970s. Enjoyable, bearable, repeatable. Well, yes, but not quite what I'd been led to expect. The person running here is in for a surprise, he's a big Tom Hanks fan and thinks it's the Polar Express and with temperatures racing up towards 40 degrees, I can understand his enthusiasm to board.
