The Royal Meridien is a polished plush hotel with plenty to occupy the wallet. However, outside is another story: there is next to nothing around, except for the promise of things in the future. Sprouting up with greater frequency than trees are the frames of grand towers. It's a show of wealth, promise, and hope. Don't be fooled, though. A drive to the airport shows some very impoverished living areas. Still, the sun does shine a lot!
