The Captain Cook Memorial Jet Fountain.

As seen from Parliament House. The nozzle of the fountain jet is a concrete collar about 5m across, situated some 150m from the lake edge. The nozzle can just be seen at the base of the water column. It is surrounded by small clearance buoys some 10m from the nozzle. The jet sprays the water 147 metres into the air.
