Two trips to Oregon in June 2006 & 2009 with friends from the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club (DVOC) netted over 200 species on each trip. The trips started outside of Portland in Forest Grove and proceeded down the coast from Ecola to Newport, over the coast range to Mary's Peak and Findley NWR, over the Cascades to Sisters,southeast to Malheur NWR, and north to the Blue and Wallowa Mountains near LaGrande. Birding was the major focus but there were some opportunities for photography.
