This old building resides close to Skallelv in Varanger, Finnmark county, Norway. It was put up around 1850, by Finnish immigrants, coming to Norway and the town of Vardø,
for finding work in the, at the time, prosperous fishing industry. Lots of Finns came to northern Norway a 150 years ago, leaving their imprint and their culture
all over the region till this day. But "the times they are'a changin" (to quote Bob Dylan), and this home was finally abandoned in 1947, left alone to face time and its destiny...
