Ljótipollur detail. Red without rust.
Due to the light and porous scoria, erosion is effective, creating long, fluffy and silky sand-dunes hanging inside the crater walls.

This shot reminds me of the Grand Canyon in my home state of Arizona, USA. I hope you visit it one day. I can imagine your photographs would be unforgettable.
