Olympus E-3 + Zuiko Digital 50-200 SWD 2.8-3.5 + Zuiko Digital EC-20 teleconverter, mounted on the Novoflex Magic Ball MB50 ballhead.
(my friends camera body, having a Benro quick-release plate on it - the rest is mine though :-)

When having the handle pointing forwards as shown, only a slight twist of the hand ensures easy reach of the zoom/focus rings,
or adjusting/locking the ballhead with the handle. Easy, quick and conveniant!

Hehe - and observe the color match of the ball and the FourThirds emblem on the E-3 and Zuiko blue ring!
(boy, am I vain or not? ;-)
