Base camp (BC) on the Crown prince Olav's glacier on the south flank of Beerenberg, 1270m above sea level.
The clock says 00:33, but the sun still shines. Just a few minutes earlier the gale howled over the ice flats,
and we were glad the tents were properly plugged! Luckily the storm lasted for for just a few hours.
And mind you, this mountain is huge, and it's just sooo much farther up there than it seems!
