ok I live in N E Florida (Jacksonville Florida) and 4 days ago my cat was in the kitchen by herself and she yelped then limped away to the back all I saw was a shadow then it was gone the next evening my mixed breed dog who looks like a mini German Shepard yelped as if something whacked him in the face again all I saw was a shadow I live in a villa style apartment and we have had an abundance of reptiles come into our yard and finding their way into the lower level apartments.. 1 week ago I saw that type snake shown above slithering towards the building could I have a problem that is bigger than seeing 3-7 snakes a week?

I found 4 in my heated pool 6 miles inland I cant garuntee its a pine it looked similar more profound black circles but a 2 foot all black snake was seen 4 days ago and vanished I think it birthed theses snakes in 13 years I never had a snake in the pool the small brown snakes were aggressive Monday chlorine was added, 3 of the snakes were dying but one found refuge on a tennis ball I live on a lake lot. I terminated all the snakes but I never seen the black one my grandmother says it was at least 2 feet long and fat all-black, I have a cattle prod. Pepper spray and my .380 I don't wanna ricochet so I'm getting a pelt gun in the morning,I'm not taking any chances considering how aggressive the smaller snakes were the one was definitely trying to strike me but I don't understand why the mother would be all-black we don't have a problem with snakes I've pulled 20 turtles out of my my pool and put them back in the lake I'm just terrified of snakes it's unfortunate if I kill a nonvenomous snake but it's not worth the risk nobody will come if I call i'm sorry snake lovers I have a Chihuahua that I'd love to see live another seven years and we don't have a rodent cigarettes so they serve no purpose here
