I killed two of these spiders this week. One in the living room and one in the bathroom. Could there be more?

Why not ask the questions before you kill the poor spider?

They are not deadly, and in fact, are quite friendly. Their bite can hurt but not deadly to humans By any means. Their large size can be intimidating to many but they are a great predator of annoying bugs and roaches. (I am an arachnologist).

I was bitten by one today when I grabbed my bicycle handle in the garage. It bit, fell to the ground and ran across the floor. The bite felt like an extremely quick jab from a needle. No redness, no lasting pain , just really creeped out at this moment. Looked at site after site and found this photo. This is definitely the culprit. All I can say is it was lightening fast because I only grabbed the handle for like a tenth of a second when I felt the jab. I've seen these in garages before and can't believe I actually touched one. Ick. I will probably be having spider nightmares tonight.

I am trying to identify a very large spider that decided to have a fast trip around my ceiling this morning. Except for a tarantula, this is the largest spider I have ever seen.

My grand-daughter sent me a picture of a spider in Florida that she said is deadlier than the brown recluse...it looked like a Huntsman, but I have never heard that they are deadly...I think this is the huge spider that we have killed many of in our house...are they bad? thank you.
