Found a few by my tomato plants. Scary looking but glad they are not dangerous. Other than giving me a heart attack.

Found one in a web up in the corner of our screen over the pool. It is beautiful. Have never seen anything like it.

i have not had any problems. i have a few scattered in fruit trees around my yard and they control moths and mosquitoes fairly well. i have not handled any except for moving their web to pick fruit and have not had a bad encounter yet. they usually move into cover until i am gone and then rebuild in same spot or close by. as for poisonous/venomous concerns if it were as bad as a recluse or a widow I'm certain you would have heard of it before now.
