I caught what must have been someone's pet goliath frog or toad, it measured ten inches from front to end. I was a bit frightened when I first saw it.Unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures of it before releasing it.

My neighbor here since 1978 has never seen a salamander like that.. A long long tail very very skinny the body dark with yellow stripe/////It is freaking me out because he is right next to the house where I have my plants.I don't see it on the page here...

I saw a salamander I had never seen and we live in the country. He is brown with yellow on top and the tail is incredibly long and extremely thin. My neighbor has been living here since 1978 ans never seen anything like it... he is bigger than a normal salamander around her...

I have a photo a what appears to be a salamander or a newt taken in Florida. I don't believe its native to the state. Is there some one I can email the picture to that may be able to ID it.

I live in St. Augustine FL. My backyard butts up to a nature preserve with a creek between. I saw what looked lije a salamander...had burnt orange colored head fading back to a very dark brown body with what looked like a stump where a tail would be. Any ideas as to what this is?

I do not have photo of this lizard I saw on captiva may 2015 SSP, but here is description: body about 4" long, tail same. Color : dark olive green with black markings along side. Smooth satin looking skin. Flicked its tongue out like a snake, and whipped its tail about also. Eyes did not protrude . Can I send a drawing?

In central Florida we have various species of salamanders..... Saw one I have never seen...black top part of body . No spots...A defining line of grey underneath. head black with thin red lines. Size 8 to 10 inches......hope you know this species.
