Yaroslavl , Russia

A 1.5 day visit to Yaroslavl. Located 266 Km, NE of Moscow and a four hour train ride. Founded in 997 and part of the "Golden Ring". Named after Prince Yaroslavl who legend says killed a Bear with an Axe and founded the city on this spot. Hence the Bear and axe on the city coat of arms.

Overall, not too impressive but we were glad we made the trip to find out.
