I have posted images from the Magadan Oblast in the Far East. All these pictures were taken between 1996 and 2001
Vladmir Illyich Lenin looking out over Magadan
The building behind has since been torn down and replaced with a Cathedral. This particular Lenin has been relocated from one side of Magadan's Lenin Square to the other three times.

David, I too have a host of pictures from Magadan and the Region. I help construct the minesite named Kubaka from 1996 till 1998. I met and was touched by some of the nicest people in the world there. My sincerest hopes are that I left at least some of them with same feelings about me. I believe that I too have had many rides by Anatoli to catch a chopper up to Kubaka. Does the heart good to see and remember. Best wishes to all that I knew and the ones I didn't in that Region. And Good Luck to you sir, Larry Townsend
