The one thing in Russia that I have always wanted to see in person and I was finally able to make it. This monument of "Mother Russia" sits atop a hill which was the focus of the Stalingrad Battle. This monument was simply amazing when seen up close. One of the highlights of my travel to cities along the Volga.
