Snapshots of The 21 California Missions

It's been a long road visiting all 21 California Missions, beginning in the spring of 1994 I started to visit and photograph them along my travels up and down the state. I would take my kids to see the Missions, stopping briefly on trips, and sometimes making one a destination. Several years later, I began visiting them specifically for photos. After I had been to about half of them I decided to see them all and in November 2005 I visited the last 6 in northern California. Each of the 21 is unique and each one has it's own story, I hope you enjoy the galleries.

Update 4/10/08: I want to thank EVERYONE who has been leaving such wonderful comments recently, I read every one and they are VERY MUCH appreciated! I'm not able to respond to every comment but please know I am very grateful and it's a great pleasure to know these images are helpful in studies, art projects and just general information on these precious missions.
