These images were taken during our trips West, 2002 - 2004. We love this area and try to time our trips to coincide with the elk rut in late September; also the time to try and catch the fall foliage. A separate gallery of images is available for the 2005 trip.

Fall in The Tetons and Yellowstone is a magical time. This is our third year in a row, timing our trip to coincide with the elk rut. The colors in the Tetons this year were fantastic, in spite of the pronounced drought. The weather was extrememly variable this year, giving us the full gamut: snow, rain, fog, sunshine, and all variations therein. That changed some of our imaging agendas, but overall it was a fantastic trip. The wildlife was plentiful and active, the only drawback being they were reacting to variations in the weather and - hence - were a little more unpredictable than in years previous. I still have the twelve CD's of images to go through, so I'll be posting more images for awhile. Glad you are enjoying the images.
