WPPD 2019

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day - 28 April 2019.

Again in 2019 we used the 8x10 Pinhole Camera, with last year's slightly closer to optimum hole, 0.020 inches (0.51 mm) for an aperture of f/300.

Having just the previous day returned from a week and a half out of the country, and with the weather being dreary and drizzly, the 2019 outing was reduced to quick and simple. As in previous years, shots were taken with Fuji HR-T X-ray film developed in HC-110 1+63. Ye Olde Photographer wandered down to the Phoenixville area and took two shots of the Route 113 bridge over the Schuylkill River. The bridge is a fairly recent replacement in Pennsylvania time measure, so not some artful classic of stone or anything, but at least it holds still for long exposures. :)

This year YOP went right for the core, the developed 8x10 negatives were contact printed on 8x10 Ilford MGIV RC paper using the enlarger just as a light source. The resulting prints were scanned on a Canon MG6300 flatbed using VueScan.

The official WPPD submission should appear at this link.
