This is an annual event on the third Saturday in June. The Stahl pottery operated from 1934 until around 1957. It was founded by two brothers, Thomas and Isaac Stahl who had worked as kids in a pottery run by their father. They reproduced the classic Pennsylvania Dutch redware and today, their reproductions are collectors items.
The large family has set up the Stahl's Pottery Preservation Society and is maintaining
this property as a historical site. The festival features the work of about thirty potters,
mostly local. There are many demonstrations of various aspects of making and decorating pottery.
(For a small fee, you can try working some clay on a wheel yourself!)
