This series began wth a walking tour sponsored by the Skippack Historical Society on 26 June 2011.
This village grew up along what is now Skippack Pike, Pennsylvania Route 73, in Montgomery County, just east of Route 113. There are a variety of structures dating back to the early 1700s, adaptively reused as homes and shops. There are a number of restaurants, and the village features an assortment of special events during the year.
Ye Olde Photographer had considerable difficulty hearing and notating the running commentary, what with traffic rumbling by and the logistics of a large group on narrow sidewalks, so some descriptions here are vague in preference to spreading misinformation.
