The legendary artist and illustrator is remembered in this museum constructed on a former estate. The originals of many famous covers from the Saturday Evening Post and other magazines are displayed here. Mr. Rockwell's studio was moved to this site from its former location in Stockbridge. Also on the property, used as administrative offices for the museum, is "Linwood House." This limestone structure was built in 1859 as a summer home for Charles Butler, an obviously successful New York City attorney.
Many contemporary sculptures are installed on the grounds; some reflecting environmental concerns.
