Raku Firings

In the Continuing Ed Studio Workshop, we have been able to do some raku firing during the semester. These are typically a group effort involving multiple potters. The last day of the semester worked well for a grand finale, as the firing is a relatively fast process that doesn't take several days to turn around a batch, as with the reduction kilns.

A few pieces here are Ye Olde Photographer's but many are pieces by his colleagues who have turned out some spectacular raku-fired pieces this semester.

The presentation here is not very complete or coherent, as Ye Olde Photographer was active in some of the firings and the process does not lend itself to multi-tasking!
