A modest assortment of functional containers. The small bowls were glazed with some new Cone 6 glazes as a trial effort. The college had stated intent to go down to Cone 6 from the current Cone 10 to reduce energy consumption, as those last 100 degrees or so cost quite a bit of gas. Alas, the changeover is languishing a bit, so Ye Olde Photographer/Potter had no idea when he might see those four pieces fired.
Well now, as of May 2015, Ye Olde Photographer/Potter knows — he has learned the Cone 6 changeover schedule is so murky that his bowls have been scrubbed off and re-glazed with an assortment of Cone 10 glazes and he has finally seen results — but not for the Cone 6 glazes.
Meanwhile, Faire Spouse potted a Kalanchoe we acquired in one of the large pots and it looks quite nice, so we added a shot here.
