In 2018 we traveled north/south down I-95 through the state on our way south.

The trip was somewhat hurried so Ye Olde Photographer didn't capture much. But we did snag a late lunch at Fred Chanson's Grandson's Buffet in Smithfield, NC. Some online reviews are mixed, but perhaps because it was relatively early in the afternoon on a weekday, we found a remarkable selection of foods and thought the items were notably better than typical at such eateries.
