This project began by throwing a bunch of small pots. The final result is a sort of sample matrix of various colorants worked into a common basic glaze.
The pots were thrown "on the hump," meaning that a large ball of wedged clay is placed on the wheel, but centering and shaping small objects is done on just the top portion. The object is cut off, more of the "hump" centered and another shape created. And yes, some of them are pretty wobbly, partly from occasionally handling them a little too wet.
Pot #11 appeared to have gone missing, not seen since it was submitted for glaze firing. Since there was a little of the glaze mix left, we generated a replacement during the next semester.
