Looking Aft From Bow

There were five main winches for working sheets and the boom. They had two speeds and were designed by one of the
engineers involved with constructing this boat. It carried a full set of Hood sails, the largest being a spinnaker of 4800
square feet. Sailing was an interesting experience, but attempting a full afternoon of racing maneuvers was pretty tiring.
The spinnaker poles are about eight inch diameter aluminum tubes, using the full rig was serious work. Though never successful
as a product, the vessel did provide some weekend entertainment for a few of the company's engineering wage slaves.
