Lehigh Canal Bethlehem

This shot is looking east, taken from the canal towpath, now a multi-use trail. You may notice a sort of
"ledge" on the lefthand side along the canal -- this was actually a two-track right-of-way of the
Central Railroad of New Jersey which ran passenger service to New York City through here, as well as hauling coal
in that direction. It has been abandoned for quite some time; as I recall, the road went belly-up in the 1960s.

Sharp eyes may spot a rusty block signal among the branches at the left side.
