Bethlehem - Ice House

Now a community museum located on Sand Island. The island offers outdoor tennis and basketball courts, as
well as access to the Lehigh Canal Towpath Trail. The water on the left is a preserved portion of the Lehigh Canal,
a waterway used to bring anthracite coal down to Philadelphia from the coal regions along the northern stretches of
the Lehigh River. At Easton, where the Lehigh runs into the Delaware, coal continued down the Delaware canal.
There is multi-use trail, using the old towpath, from Allentown and down well into lower Bucks County.
