It was surprising that not until a matter of
minutes from totality did it get noticeably
darker, but it ultimately did. Probably it
was a matter of haze and clouds, and perhaps
even that we were not dead center on the
path, but it never did get as dark as
Ye Olde Photographer was expecting.
