would be done to place a strip of
negatives in it. The silvery tab swivels
to lift pressure off the film to allow
positioning it when it is in the ENLA
head. The wide, dark piece supports
the ends of the film strip and has a
shallow recess along its length to
avoid contact with the emulsion surface.
