Post bisque fire the entire mug has been dunked in a glaze that
tends toward a pale blue. Then after being allowed to dry, the top
rim and the bottom have been submerged in a shallow tray of a
darker blue. The actual underside/bottom is coated with a wax emulsion
first so there is no glaze on the bottom to weld to a kiln shelf.
