A piece of 1/2 inch plastic electrical conduit has divots randomly placed
using a rotary tool with a small ball cutter. Placing the tube on a round
dowel allows rolling it over a clay slab to produce a leather-like texture.
The dowel shown has a shape turned on each end, one concave and one protruding.
