This is about to become one of the day's smaller pieces. An interesting technique
entails creating a concave shape on the top, then slicing the disk of clay off the wheel
with a kinky wire or stretched spring. The piece is then flipped and settles against
the bat, leaving the slicing texture as the interior surface of the plate or bowl.
