A fire up the road, apparently an attached garage, provided quite a display of emergency response. It seemed like a lot of equipment, but no doubt it's far better to have more than needed than get caught short. This area has no fire hydrants, although there is a creek about a half mile from the spot. As such, it is common practice to set up a portable reservoir which is hooked up to supply pumpers at the fire, while tankers refill the reservoir from available sources. In the case at hand there were units from three or four other companies participating in setup and logistics.
This is basically the cleanup, as Ye Olde Photographer walked up too late to catch some of the setup, as the problem had been resolved earlier. There were apparently no injuries and no seriously major damage. None the less, it is gratifying to see the response that can be brought to bear by these well equipped volunteer organizations.
