This gallery was started in February 2016 when, in the process of searching for something totally unrelated, Ye Olde Photographer found two sleeves of negatives far from where they should have been. The film appears to have been Fuji Superia 200. It is believed this trip occurred around 1993, but so far no conclusive evidence has turned up.
YOP believes there are more shots from this trip "somewhere " in the dusty archives here, so perhaps one of these days he will find them. Meanwhile, we scanned the two rolls found and pulled out this selection. We stayed in a B&B in Old Saybrook Connecticut for several days. One of the activities, represented in these shots, was to ride the Essex Steam Train in a unique trip that included a leg on the Connecticut River via boat in addition to traveling by rail behind a steam locomotive. A quick look shows the railroad, and even American Locomotive Company #40, is still running.
In general, the Connecticut River valley is a long established part of the country which includes a lot of beautiful scenery and historic old structures.
