During a June 2014 visit to see family members in the area we learned there were two exhibits on China at the Children's Museum, so we managed to take that in with some other family members. The obvious and amazing exhibit was on the Terra Cotta Warriors and included a number of actual pieces, lifesize men and even a horse. There was a well done video and other information about these figures. The emperor equipped his future tomb with an army of 8000 lifesize warriors to guard him in the after life. Each warrior has a unique face, possibly based on some of the artists who made them.
There was another major exhibit centered more on Chinese life and culture. Some of that included replicas of food markets, kitchens and dining areas where kids could try chopsticks. In addition there was an exhibit on pandas as well as information on traditional medicine.
