For 2021 we loaded the C-3 with a 24-exposure roll of Ilford FP4 Plus. Ye Olde Photographer began with a few shots of a bridge construction project near his house. The previous day's forecast sounded rather iffy, but all in all the day was not too bad. The light varied from occasional sun to fairly threatening cloudy skies, especially toward the end of the afternoon.
Following that YOP headed further up the way to the town of Macungie, located along the former Reading Railroad East Penn Branch (now part of Norfolk-Southern). Macungie actually has a "train watching platform," located on the site of the former passenger station. An open-sided pavilion, it has various frame elements suggesting an outline of the former station. In addition to the track view, there is a nicely done flower garden/park next to the platform, maintained by a local garden club. Unlike a previous outing, we actually saw two trains in a fairly short time.
The FP4 Plus was developed in Kodak HC110, Dilution H (1+63) for 14:00 at 69.5ºF.
The "official" submissions from multiple participants may eventually be seen through the
Argus Collectors Group site.
In spite of the extremely manual C-3, we got through the whole roll without any double exposures or skipped frames. A successful Argus Day! The bulk of the results follow.
