For 2019 we loaded a 20 exposure roll of Panatomic-X into the Argus C-3. The roll was loaded from the remainder of a 100' bulk roll (expiration date: December 1988!) Not willing to allocate the time for a Major Project(tm), Ye Olde Photographer decided to drive down to Royersford, thinking to shoot the former Reading Railroad passenger station and maybe wander to some other stations that remain. It seems YOP had forgotten what a potentially target rich environment presents itself there.

The banks of the Schuylkill River were once heavily occupied with industrial activity — iron, steel, railroads, etc. Today that is considerablty reduced, but not entirely gone. In addition, some of the classic old buildings remain adaptively reused. So YOP blew the whole roll looking around the area at Foundry Park, a small spot between the the river and the former train station (which now contains an office and an ice cream and coffee place).

The Norfolk-Southern did rumble a serious westbound freight through during this visit, but alas, YOP managed, in trying to quickly move, aim, and shoot managed to have a finger collide with that infamous shutter cocking lever on the C-3 and the resulting bump made a blurry mess — oh well!

The film was developed in Kodak HC110, Dilution H (1+63) for 9:00 minutes at 69ºF. The "official" submissions from multiple participants will eventually be seen through the Argus Collectors Group site.

Because this film occasionally exhibits some unexplained blemishes, we have generally shot frames in pairs with maybe a minor variation in exposure or composition so that at least one will likely be usable. Only one of each such pair appears here. There was one skipped frame, and NO double exposures — Yay!!! So here we have visible results from 32 year old film in a 62 year old camera! YOP declares it another successful Argus Day!
