Ranch

The "Ranch" consists of a house and several outbuildings on an eighty acre hardwood forest located in the western portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The house was built by my parents 70 years ago. It is still rustic, lacking electrical service, running water, or indoor plumbing. Now used as a weekend retreat its beauty provides connections to my parents and to a relatively unspoiled area of second growth forest.

The 'love' in these pictures jumps right off the pages. I second the previous comments about how good it is to know the story behind the photos. Thanks for sharing these treasures with the rest of us. Bill Herndon, VA

How nice that you can record for yourself and others this meaningful property including the house built by your parents. Wonderful and just what photography is all about. I enjoyed seeing it, but it would not have been as enjoyable had I not known the story behind it.
