I've started experimenting with another focus stacking program called Zerene Stacker. I'm getting MUCH better results than what I got with either the built-in stacking feature in CS 6 or Helecon focus. Here is a full-sized image of the center of a daffodil, stacked with Zerene's "PMAX" algorithm. The 2 images following are 100% crops of small parts of this image.
