I wanted to think that was a gavel on the table to the right of Jim, but NO! That,my unsuspecting friends, is a full-blown ballpeen hammer. It is dangerously close to his hand,and in that crazed state he was obviously in, people were in grave danger. Potential trouble was averted as a brave,unnamed young man pushed the table and occupants off school property and into the waiting hands of police. A worry-free track meet resumed much to the relief of anxious students and staff. Pheww...! That was close.
